In 2016, real estate and private equity investor David Gross and the late musician and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle first partnered on Vector90, an inner city co-working space and business incubator, in the Crenshaw District - with plans to replicate the concept in inner cities throughout the country.  Gross and Hussle officially launched Vector90 officially in February of 2018, in conjunction with Hussle’s Victory Lap album release.

Before the the Opportunity Zones program, Gross and Hussle were already focused on developing the infrastructure necessary for investment and entrepreneurship in inner city neighborhoods.

Our Opportunity was an expansion of that vision, as they viewed the legislation as a catalytic investment tool which could help scale their vision more broadly and more quickly.
